Auschwitz - Nazi's death factory

16th Nov 2009 22:00hrs

200,000 men & 4000 children are the number of Jews killed in Auschwitz. Auschwitz was commonly referred to as the ‘Nazi’s Death Factory’. During World War II, Nazi’s carried out death camps to mass murder the Jews. It is said that almost 6 million Jews were exterminated during WWII and Auschwitz has the record of staging approx 200,000 mass murders.
As usual, I am browsing thru the TV channels and short listing the programs for the night. Top of the list was a documentary in Fox History “Auschwitz – Factories of Death”. I have seen movies like ‘Pianist’ & ‘A beautiful Life’, which were based on Nazi’s cruelty to Jews, but the documentary was way above all. The Nazi’s have convinced the world to handover the Jews from their respective nations to Germany and this accounted to approx 200,000 Jews. The documentary was about,
• Nazi’s plan to execute the 200,000 Jews
• People’s struggle in the death camps
• Nazi’s innovative ideas to overcome the challenge of mass murder
• brave men & blessed children (very few), who managed to escape the camps
Gas Chambers, mass burials, mass open cremations - ran a chill in my body. I assumed myself in such death camps and imagined the pain of its victims. Several questions ran thru my mind as I was watching the documentary…
Should I be glad I wasn’t a victim of such demonic acts?
Aren’t we facing similar situation in the current world, in the name of terrorism?
Few others too…but at the top the list is… Why was Hitler against Jews? What did the Jews do to deserve such a demonic exit?
If you go thru the history, you can identify several conspiracies & theories for Hitler’s hatred towards Jews. I personally believe that Hitler was jealous of Jews because of Jewish community’s success in all walks of life. Hitler struggled in his early days to make a living, in contrast to his struggle he saw the successful and prospering Jews in all fields of arts, culture, business & politics. I strongly believe this jealousy turned hatred had convinced him to proceed with the holocaust. ‘Mein Kampf’ supposedly narrates several instances as a proof of Jews prosperity and Hitler’s struggle for life.
During the course of the research I happened to come across certain interesting facts,
• Hitler was not the first one to holocaust the Jews. During the Jewish revolt against Rome, the Romans crucified almost all the Jerusalemites; expelled the Jews from their lands; raped their women and exiled the entire community.
• Hitler did not kill/hate all the Jews;
o Hitler personally permitted Dr Bloch (a Jewish physician) to emigrate from Austria, apparently Dr Bloch provided intensive care for Hitler’s ailing mother in the past.
o Hitler’s chief commanding officer (a Jew) in WWI, who recommended Hitler for the Iron Cross.
• Jews vanished from the social and demographic aspects of central and Eastern Europe, during WW II, because they dint have weapons.
• The Jews were the first pan Europeans; they spoke Yiddish or pure German. If the Jews were not exterminated, German language could have been the language of Europe.
• In early 1900’s most of the powerful financial institutions (such as banks, real estates and others) in western world were owned by Jews and were exploiting it solely to gain political controls and domination. Even today, American foreign policy is always in favor of Israel; because most of the American financial institutions are dominated by the Israeli Jews (Interestingly there are lot of researches on relation between Nazi’s holocaust and radical Muslim’s Jihad!!!)
Moving away from Auschwitz and the recent Jihad attacks, will the world ever be at peace without such attacks? I personally feel never will the world be at peace, until it’s free of all its living beings. We will continue to experience indifference in belief & concept which would break out in various form of violence.
Now that I am aware of the issue/problem, am I going to do something to make this situation better? I don’t think I will be able to make a huge impact to the ongoing issues, but I will what I can.
• I will exercise flexibility towards others believes and ideologies.
• Welcome changes and consciously avoid any conflicts.
Amidst all I am glad to have this opportunity, to make a conscious decision towards above issues – After all we live in a democratic land. Don’t we?

"Frequency" - A movie I saw in HBO last night

As usual I was browsing thru the TV channels last night and decided to watch this movie to kill some time before I can go to sleep. Usually I would hit the sack half way thru any movie, but last night I got glued to the TV. I got impressed by the unique but a complex story plot.
How would it be, if you are aware of the important events that could happen in the next 30 years of your family life? Lead of the movie is the son in this family, who guides his family thru these life or death situations, any wrong decision by the son would cost him his dad/mum's life.
Intresting part of the movie is the gentle but well written screen play. The director has used a wireless radio instrument throughout the movie to add spice to this plot. I thought a great deal to categorize this movie under a particular genre.....

Can I call it an 'Emotional Drama' - as the movie brushed my emotions with the Son - Father Interactions?

As the future predictions and Radio Instrument was handled intelectually - can I call it a 'Sci-Fi'?
....a 'Thriller' or

............an 'Action'????

Not sure, coz I found all of these aspects used in appropriate propotions.

If you want to know what was this movie's impact on me....its nothing but sheer jealousy! yeah I am jealous of this director's creative brain! why dont I posess THIS creative brain to create such masterpieces :(

Now I would like to validate my review, so watch this movie and let me know ur views.
P.S : I wouldnt mind if you can feedback on my english grammar, after all I should improve my language as well.

Whizzzz..................
